Arbitration and Mediation

Blitstein, Young & Blinder provides arbitration and mediation services on any issue involving California workers’ compensation including issues of coverage, contribution, or any issue by agreement of the parties.  Use of arbitration or mediation can provide a cost-effective path to claim resolution.

All arbitration and mediation matters are handled by Mark Kahn, Esq.  Mark brings 50 years of experience to the arbitration and mediation practice as a Workers’ Compensation Judge, Presiding Judge and Chief Judge.  He has lectured extensively to applicant and defense attorneys, stakeholders in the community and other judges on topics ranging from trial preparation, litigation strategies, sexual harassment and bias, ADA, case law, utilization review and many other aspects of workers’ compensation practice.

Lien Resolution

George Macias and Ted Erdmann serve as the specialists at Blitstein, Young & Blinder’s Lien Resolution Department.  Both George and Ted have extensive experience in analyzing and negotiating liens prior to or after the case-in-chief has resolved.  George and Ted work closely with Claims to ensure a timely and cost-effective resolution of any outstanding liens utilizing all available defenses under the Labor Code.
