ELLIOT KUSHNER

Elliot Kushner received his Bachelor of Arts Degree, Magna Cum Laude, in 1972 from the University of California, Los Angeles majoring in Political Science.  He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

He received his Juris Doctor from Loyola University of Los Angeles School of Law in 1975.  He was admitted to practice in California in 1975 and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Central and Northern Districts of California.

Mr. Kushner was in general civil practice, including workers’ compensation, personal injury, real property, business litigation and commercial law from 1975-1991.   One of the highlights of this period of his career was his participation in the litigation of an appeal before the United States Supreme Court which resulted in a reported decision.

He was previously associated with Clopton, Penny & Brenner for 10 years, handling both defense workers’ compensation matters and subrogation litigation. He then served for more than 20 years as an associate with Blitstein, Young & Blinders and its predecessor entity, Altman & Blitstein.  Mr. Kushner retired from full-time practice in 2020 but has remained of-counsel and has continued to actively assist the firm on an ongoing basis.  Mr. Kushner enjoys the use of greater free time to pursue his love of playing rock and blues guitar and painting using colored pencil, water color and acrylic media.
